Integrates with and enhances ERP system such as SAP
- SPC Vision can be truly integrated with your ERP system. Many of our clients launch SPC Vision through their ERP driven shop floor process plans. This can be taken a step further where SPC Vision automatically 'stamps' operations based on good measurement results or triggers a non-conformance process for exceptions.
- Key product traceability data such as PO number, part number, MSN etc. is automatically passed from the ERP system to SPC Vision. It is then associated with shop floor data and lower level traceability information such including measurements, process measurements and general measurement traceability items. This creates a complete and auditable link between ERP driven production plan and shopfloor process/product validation data.
Robust Configuration control
- All configuration within SPC vision is version controlled and documented in a 'history trail'. If SPC Vision is being used for product and process certification purposes, this is critical because most regulatory bodies (such as CAA) require a complete and auditable trail linking the design requirement to product validation.
- The 'configuration control' process can be further enhanced and error proofed through ERP integration which ensures that SPC Vision configuration is always aligned to the required production standard.
Unique architecture for product structures and assemblies
- SPC Vision has a unique architecture which truly represents a product and manufacturing process. SPC Vision configuration involves defining discreet building blocks which are finally linked together to form 'production'. This allows for a very flexible configuration and enables powerful analysis and data management.
- Used primarily by our clients manufacturing large products and assemblies (such as Aerospace), SPC Vision allows complete product structures to be defined. This has multiple benefits including enhanced large volume data analysis and powerfull data retrieval capabilities linking large assemblies to elementary components.
Document links - Drawings, Work instructions etc
- SPC vision provides operators with clear instructions on how to complete a task. Most organisations have standard documents and controlled processes for this so we do not copy or duplicate anything. Any associated documents or drawings required to carry out an operation can be linked to, and viewed through SPC vision. This enhances the clients system by removing the need for paper instructions and ensures that only the latest version is available to the shopfloor.
Non-conformance management system Integration
- Usually non-conformance management is an activity handled by a ERP system, so SPC Vision again enhances rather than duplicates. ERP non conformance management systems (NCMS) are effective, but limited by the fact that they are not linked to the detailed non-conformance data i.e. product measurements. This usually means a big delay between the non conformance being detected and the resultant action being decided and implemented. SPC vision can drastically speed up this process by making the data available to the decision makers real time, and in a clear and consistent format.
Supports key business initiatives such as Lean, 6 Sigma etc.
- SPC vision has been developed within the true spirit of 'Continuous Improvement'. The analysis capabilities and reporting functionality directly support initiatives such as 6 sigma or lean manufacturing.
