GapGun gets 'Embedded' SPC Vision

Infodream and partners Third dimension software have many common clients within the Aerospace sector so decided to create a fully integrated interface between the GapGun and SPC Vision.

Previously, measurement data was stored on the portable Gapgun and downloaded into SPC vision via a RS232 link.  The new solution is far more robust with an 'embedded SPC' license is installed onto the GapGun.  Using 'embedded SPC', the operator is looking at a miniature version of SPC Vision on the GapGun screen.  The benefits include:

  

 

  • Operators follow measurement plans already defined in SPC Vision
  • SPC Vision work instructions and pictures are viewable on the GapGun screen
  • Data is saved and analysed real time using a wireless link
  • Configuration of the GapGun is reduced as measurement requirements such as tolerance limits, traceability etc is all controlled by SPC Vision.
